Music education is vital.  It is cognitive, emotional, aesthetically valuable, and requires performance skills.  Music requires creative thinking, physical movement, and emotional expression.  Developing those aspects of a child’s growth will help them to better understand the culture that they live in and adapt to other core subjects. Music is how we understand the world around us and how we communicate.  We use it to recall history and comprehend society and help us understand relationships.

Music education can reach all students and needs to be tended to by everyone. Music is an expressive art—it allows creativity.  Through music education students get another opportunity to express themselves while other venues may not have been conducive to their growth and creativity.

Music education must be available for everyone. The importance of it is very clear and very important.  It is a gateway for students to learn other ways to express themselves and gives them more opportunities to succeed.
